About to start a new Java OpenGL game. (my first OpenGL one, Dwarven Peggmachine, balls hit pegs, went nowhere. 2nd, Missilemada2, got over 300h development time, pretty good, hundreds of improvements on todo-list.) (Missilemada 1 was linedraw/circledraw 2d graphics limited to visible screen.)

Making up a name now.
I think PsyberQuad Annihilator, or PsyberQuad for short, is unique enough. All that shit with "Cyber-" prefix is _very_ taken already. Looked at Inner Sphere mech names for inspiration.
Yeah I know Psyber-prefix is on some WH40k stuff.
It is set in bleedin' cyberspace (unlike my Missilemada2 which is a space RTS in an asteroid zone, with spaceship production and asteroid mining.)

-Now I have a solid idea for my next Java OpenGL game: first-person slying-shooter, same "loads of homing misl" but in cube rooms. pick up bonuses to upgrade your unique adaptive "ship".


-- ill effects on ships:
- slow turn
- slow accel
- lower top spd cap
- blindness
- beams EMP'd, can't use
- cyberchaff field, missiles detonate when hit it.

--plr upgrade:
more beams (start with 0, max 4)
beam dist
beam str
beam recharge time down.


--buttons for player:
mouse to turn lookat
wasd

mouse buttons:
rmb: beams
lmb: pump out fast low-turn missiles
wheelup: few fast high-turn hi-dam missiles
wheeldown: pump out slow minelike minessiles

stealth (vanish from enemies for 5 sec)
shield boost (5 sec triple shield regen)
misl rate boost (5 sec)
move boost (10 sec)
smartbomb (nearby ene misl EMP'd)
deploy beamdrone
deploy misl drone

Made Missilemada2 instead, a space RTS of asteroid mining and hundreds of homing missiles.
